Established in 1958 by Wally Dean who at the time was the regional manager for LORD Corporation. V.I.P. initially manufactured ship fenders, marine products and seals. In 1983 V.I.P. was purchased by Vibrachoc SA, a French subsidiary of Alstom. In 1990 V.I.P. was acquired by Village Marine Tec. In 1991 VMT bought the rights and the molds for all Firestone Engineered Rubber Products. In 2008 Parker/Racor acquired VMT which included V.I.P. and in 2010 FTG, Inc. purchased V.I.P. to add the vibration group to its existing filtration group. Vibration Isolation Products is a stand-alone privately owned corporation.
V.I.P.’s experience in shock and vibration isolation spans over 50 years. We have engineered solutions for Transportation (Automotive, Rail, Truck/Bus, Agriculture, Recreational and Marine), Manufacturing (Industrial Assembly and Process Industries), Construction (Civil Engineering and Off-Highway Vehicles) and Electronics (Chip Assembly and Component Assembly).
